We designed the website for Delhi-based artist and designer Gunjan Gupta. Gunjan’s works subvert the commonly held notions of status and class by way of her signature juxtaposition of objects, materials and narratives that are drawn from the Indian vernacular.

Carrying forward the whimsical nature of Gunjan’s work, we placed design details and elements from her artworks as easter eggs across the site, to add visual interest and contextual richness to the experience of navigating the site.

Our design combines visual exuberance, as seen in the deconstruction of Gunjan's works in the homepage, with clear and concise display of information, most notably in the timeline of the artist's work and curatorial practice, thereby providing an ideal home on the internet to an artist who is equally interested in thinking and making.
